AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF
BATESVILLE, AR., DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,
ARKANSAS, AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the following described tracts of land is currently zoned R-2; and
WHERAS, the Batesville Planning Commision has recommended that said tracts
described below be rezoned Historical District R-1 to be known H.R.D. R-1. This is
pursuant to Ordinance 90-10-2 creating Historical Residental District within the
present R-2 District, but imposing the more stringent requirements as set out in
the current Batesville Code that is in place for R-1 Districts in the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, the following tracts of land should be, and hereby are
zoned H.R.D. R-1.
• BLOCKS 63, 64 and LOTS 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 of Block 26 in the school
addition to the City of Batesville, Arkansas.
It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that this Ordinance,
being necessary for the public welfare, shall be in full force full force and effect
from the date of its passage.
