AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF
BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,
ARKANSAS, AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the following described tracts of land is
currently zoned R-2 ; and
WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission has
recommended that said tracts described below be rezoned
Historical District R-1 to be known as H.R.D. R-1. This is
pursuant to Ordinance 90-10-2 creating a Historical
. Residential District within the present R-2 District, but
imposing the more stringent requirements as set out in the
current Batesville code that is in place for R-1 Districts in
the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, the following tracts of land should be,
and hereby are zoned H.R.D. R-1.
Blocks 7, 16, 21, 30, 33 , 46, 41, 34 , 29 , 23 , 28 , 35, 40,
47 , 39, 36, 27 , 24 , 25, 12 and Lots 10, 1, 2 , 3 and 4 in Block
45 and all of Block 15 except the following:
A part of Block 15 of School Addition to the City of
Batesville described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest
corner of said Block 15 and the intersection of College Avenue
and Sixth Street; thence North 54 degrees East along the line
of College Avenue a distance of 169 feet; thence South 36
degrees East and Parallel with Sixth Street 88 1/2 feet;
thence South 54 degrees West and parallel with College Avenue
95 feet; thence South 36 degrees East and Parallel with Sixth
Street 21 1/2 feet; thence South 54 degrees West and parallel
with College Avenue 74 feet to the line of Sixth Street;
thence North 36 degrees West along the line of Sixth Street
110 feet to the place of beginning.

• All of the above in the School Addition to the City of
Batesville, Arkansas.
It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists
and that this Ordinance, being necessary for the public
welfare, shall be in full force and effect from the date of
its passage.
