HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-04-02 O R D I N A N C E N O AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, DECLARING All EMERGENCY AND OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the following described tract of land is currently zoned R-2; and WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission has recommended that said tract described below be zoned C-2, contingent upon the parking requirements • under the City of Batesville Zoning Code being met; and WHEREAS, the parking requirements of the City of Batesville Zoning Code have been met; NOW, THEREFORE, the following tract of land should be, and hereby is zoned C-2: A part of fractional Block 5 in the School Addition to the City of Batesville, Arkansas, described thus: Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Block 5 at the intersection of Boswell and Fifth Streets (formerly Second Street) ; thence South 54 degrees West along the South line of Boswell Street 150 feet and 4 inches to the East line of the property formerly owned by Mrs. Rosalie V. Archer; thence at right angles to Boswell Street (South 36 degrees East) 150 feet and 18 inches; thence East and parallel to Boswell Street 25 feet; thence North and parallel to Fifth Street 18 inches to the South line of Lot 3 of said block; thence East along the South line of Lot 3 and 4 to the West line of Fifth Street; thence North along the West line ® of Fifth Street, 150 feet to the Point of Beginning, also known as 476 East Boswell Street, Batesville, Arkansas. It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that this Ordinance, being necessary for the public welfare, shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage.
