RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE NOT TO PARTICIPATE
IN OR BE SUBJECT TO ACT 600 OF 1987 ADOPTED BY THE 76TH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the 76th General Assembly of the State of Arkansas has passed,
and the Governor has signed Act 600 of 1987, and;
WHEREAS, Section 4 of said Act 600 provides that the failure to adopt an
ordinance or resolution indicating whether the City desires to not be covered
by the provisions of that act, shall be subject to the provisions of that act,
and;
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville desires not to be subject to the pro-
visions of Act 600.,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Batesville desires not to
be subject to the provisions of Act 600 of 1987 and formally states it' s
intentions not to be covered by the provisions of that act.
