WHEREAS, the City Council of Batesville has discussed the
transportation needs of the City; and.
WHEREAS, road improvements are essential for the healthy
development of the city, and future growth will impact the
transportation system of the Batesville area; and.
WHEREAS, it is recognized that developing future goals and
objectives for the development of Batesville is the
responsibility of the local officials and the general public of
the City.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Mayor is authorized to
request technical assistance from the Arkansas State Highway and
(W Transportation Department and the White River Planning and
Development District to conduct a Transportation Planning
Program and Master Street Plan Study. The Mayor is also
authorized to designate a Technical Advisory Committee to work
with the representatives of AHTD and WRPDD to determine
short-term and long-term goals, and to initiate a document for
adoption as a Master Street Plan for the City of Batesville.
