RESOLUTION NO.
-- A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY OF 8ATESVI[LE PERSONNEL
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES SPECIFYING HOLIDAYS FOR ALL
CITY EMPLOYEES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RATE3VlLLE, ARKANSAS, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section l: The City Of Batesville Personnel Policies and Procedures Handbook,
Article 8-B, LSdV8 Policy - Holidays, is hereby amended to read:
All regular, full-time employees of the City including those who are
serving in their probationary period Shall receive nine and one-half
(9k) days Of holidays with pay as follows: New Years Day, Washing-
ton's Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus
Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve /!,, day), Christmas Day and the
Employee's Birthday. When a designated holiday falls on a Saturday,
the Friday immediately preceding it shall be observed as the holiday.
When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the Monday following it shall be
observed as the holiday' When Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday, the
holiday shall be observed beginning at OoVD On the preceding Friday.
When a non-uniformed employee of the City is required to work OO a
^�� paid holiday, compensation including holiday pay shall not exceed

��' twice his regular rate of pay. An employee who is absent without
authorization on the last working day before Or the first working
day following a designated holiday will not be paid for that holiday.
Uniformed employees Of the Fire Department and the Public Safety
Department are paid for holidays in accordance with Arkansas Stat-
utes.
Holiday pay for Public Safety officers and firefighters shall be
pro-rated and paid during regular payroll periods.
Section 2; This resolution shall become effective January I, 1990^
