RESOLUTION # 3 - I
WHEREAS, the Batesville High School Lady Pioneers Basketball Team is Arkansas '
best high school basketball team having won thirty (30) ball games during the
1982-1983 season and capturing the overall State Tournament Championship, and;
WHEREAS, said championship is due to the team's coaching, leadership, ability,
cooperation, discipline, talent and hard work, and;

WHEREAS, the Batesville Lady Pioneers ' spirit and sportsmanship are an inspi-
ration to all and the pride of our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas, recog-
nizes the Batesville Lady Pioneers for their contributions which are the pride
of the community.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas, further
recognizes the Batesville Lady Pioneers as winners in every way and true ex-
amples that a Pioneer never quits.
Section 3: That the first day of April , 1983, is hereby set aside, declared
and proclaimed to be Lady Pioneer day in the City of Batesville, Arkansas.
Section 4: Be it further resolved, that this resolution be spread upon the
records of the City and a copy thereof be delivered to each member of the
1982-1983 Batesville High School Lady Pioneer Basketball Team - Arkansas '
Number One Basketball Team
