HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-07-01-R s g RESOLUTION #_. - - "o r$ WHEREAS, residents of a certain portion of the Eastwood ki Estates Addition to the City of Batesville, Arkansas have requested that the City of Batesville cause studies to be made iy 9 of the needs for street improvements , including but not limited to, grading, paving, curbing, guttering, drainage and storm sewers in said area, and that the City cause studies to be made of the approximate cost of such improvements, and the approximate amount which would need to be assessed against each parcel of property in said area to pay for the proposed improve- ment and, WHEREAS , the Batesville City Council, finds that there is a need for such studies to be made and pursuant to Ark. Stat. Ann. 9 20-1501 , et. seq. , upon the request of the residents of the designated area, do hereby resolve the following: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 : That the City Council hereby authorizes certain studies to be made of the need for street improvements , including grading,x paving, curbing, guttering, and drainange and storm sewers in an area encompassing lots 14 , 15, 16 , 18 , 19 , 20 , 21 , 22 , 23 , 27 , 28 , 29 , 34 , 35 , 36 , 37 , 38 , 45, 46 , 47 , and 48 of the Eastwood Estates Addition to the City of Batesville, Arkansas; and the City Council further directs that studies be made of the approximate cost of such improvements and the approximate amount which would need to be assessed against each parcel of property to pay for the cost of the proposed improvements; all pursuant to Ark. Stat. Ann. ss 20-1501 et. seq. . Section 2: Upon the completion of the study, the persons making the study shall report back to the City Council so that the determinations and findings can be made upon the need and desireability of entering into a street improvement program through an improvement district.
