WHEREAS, Banquet Food's Corporation desires to give the City of Batesville
a certain piece of property, description and copy of deed attached;
WHEREAS, the City Council of Batesville, Arkansas has previously expressed
its desire to acquire this property as a replacement street for Southerland Drive;
WHEREAS, Batesville City Council feels the general welfare of the citizens
of the City of Batesville will best be served if this property is accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILLE, INDEPENDENCE
COUNTY, ARKANSAS, does accept title to this property and that the Mayor and City Clerk,
for the City of Batesville, are instructed to proceed forthwith to take all necessary
steps to vest title of this property in the name of the City of Batesville.
ADOPTED this 23rd day of January, 1979.
