RESOLUTION NO. 7-3
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION OF
5. 04 ACRES TO THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS,
BEING PART OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE
SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 22 , TOWNSHIP 13 NORTH,
RANGE 6 WEST
WHEREAS, Batesville Special School District No. 1 is the
owner of the following described property:
A tract of land being a part of the SWQ of the NE;
of Section 22 in Township 13 North, Range 6 West of
the 5th PM in Independence County, Arkansas, more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest Corner of said SWaNE4;
thence S 87°11' 41" E, a distance of 40 .00 feet to
the Point of Beginning; thence N 03°00 ' 00" E, a
distance of 435.00 feet; thence S 87°11 ' 41" E, a
distance of 505.00 feet; thence S 03°00100" W, a
distance of 435.00 feet; thence N 87111141" W, a
distance of 505 . 00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 5. 04 acres, more or less; and
WHEREAS, Batesville Special School District No. 1 has
obtained an order of the County Court of Independence County,

Arkansas, and said annexation has been confirmed by said County
Court subject to acceptance by the City Council for the City of
Batesville, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS , the City Council for the City of Batesville,
Arkansas, finds that the acceptance of the territory would be
in the best interests of the City of Batesville, Arkansas.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the land described herein
should be, and it hereby is, accepted by the City of Batesville,
Arkansas.

I , the undersigned, City Clerk for the City of Batesville,
Arkansas, hereby certify that the attached instrument is a true,
perfect and correct copy of a Resolution adopted March 11, 1980,
by the City Council for the City of Batesville, Arkansas, accepting
the annexation of 5.04 acres to the City of Batesville, Arkansas.
