RESOLUTION # 7 Z
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville, Arkansas, seeks to construct a
' Municipal Waste Disposal and Energy Production Incinerator System,

and desired to have state assistance where possible; and
WHEREAS, in order to obtain the funds necessary to construct the

system, it is necessary to obtain a grant from the appropriate agency
of the State of Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the plans for construction of the system have been prepared
and the price therefore has been established; and
' WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas, has
secured an ORC grant for supplementing the constructionof
the system
and anticipates utilizing local funds and a bond issue to complete the

system,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Batesville, Arkansas, that the Mayor of said city or other persons acting
by or under his direction, are hereby authorized to make application
through the Water, Sewer, and Solid Waste Management System Finance
Program to the Department of Local Services for a grant in the amount of
$�a� �.� to assist in the construction of the system, therefore, such
application is to be submitted as expeditiously as possible.
