WHEREAS, the Arkansas Department of Pollution Control and Ecology
has been designated to prepare the Section 208 Statewide Water Quality
Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, the planning area includes all Counties in Arkansas, and
WHEREAS, the Environmental Protection Agency regulations published
pursuant to Section 208 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments
of 1972 require an annual plan update and the designation of a management agency
with the responsibilities thereto and,
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Department of Pollution Control and Ecology
is the Designated Management Agency to accomplish the continuing planning
effort; and
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Department of Pollution Control and Ecology
(W will continue to coordinate the continuing planning effort.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the undersigned agrees to:
1. accept the designation as the Designated Management Agency
for the —Bj�— service area and assume
the duties and responsibilities of that agency as outlined
in the Statewide Water Quality Management Plan;
2. participate in and support the continuing Statewide Water
Quality Management Planning Process as outlined in the
Plan; and
3. accept the duties and responsibilities thereof.
