A RESOLUTION GIVING SPECIFIC AUTHORITY TO THE JOINT INDUSTRIAL PARK COMMITTEE.
Be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas , that:
Section 1. The City Council hereby gives the Joint Industrial Park
Committee the following authority with respect to the development of an
Industrial Park:
(a) To negotiate land prices.
(b) To enter into option contracts and to dispurse money
therefor.
(c) To hire an agent to act for the Committee in negotiations
in optioning land.
(d) To hire an attorney and pay legal fees for services deemed
necessary by the Committee.
(e) To draw up recommendations for a legal entity to develop,
operate and maintain the industrial park.
(f) To complete the above transactions and to set in motion
the operating entity.
Section 2. Any actions taken by the Committee subject to the afore-
mentioned authority which shall obligate Independence County, the City of
Batesville or Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, shall be subject to the
final approval of the County of Independence, the City of Batesville, and
the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce.
