A RESOLUTION AMENDING 1981 BUDGET TO PROVIDE FOR PAYMENT OF EX-MAYOR PEYTON
(W GOLDEN RETIREMENT:
WHEREAS, Peyton Golden resigned as Mayor on March 6, 1981; and,
WHEREAS, Mayor Golden had been Mayor of Batesville in excess of ten (10) years.
and,
WHEREAS, Mayor Golden is past the age of sixty (60) years of age; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ark. Stat. Ann. §19-1035 Ex-Mayor Golden is entitled to
11 payment of one-half (1 2) thesalarypayable at the time of his retirement
until death.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,
ARKANSAS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the 1981 Budget is hereby amended to provide for payment of
retirement benefits to Peyton Golden at the rate of one-half (1/2) of his
salary as of March 6, 1981 as provided for by Ark. Stat. Ann. §19-1035.
ADOPTED this 13-rq day of March, 1981.
