A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD ON A PROPOSED
ORDINANCE INCREASING THE BATESVILLE UTILITY RATES.
WHEREAS, the Batesville Utilities Department has proposed
an ordiance increasing rates for water and sewer usage ; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Batesville realizes
that any increase in the utility rate will effect every house-
hold and business in the city and the City Council desires
that all persons be given an opportunity to be heard on this
matter; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Batesville has deter-
mined that a public hearing is in the city' s and its people ' s
best interests.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . That a public hearing shall be held on April 30 ,
1981;7' City Hall, in order that any and all persons be heard
on a proposed ordinance increasing water and sewer rates.
SECTION 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to cause
to be published in the Batesville Guard a notice advising
the public of said hearing; he shall also cause to be posted
in a conspicuous place in the City Hall and County Courthouse
a copy of said notice .
