Alderman Aawu_ L, mmsae introduced and moved, which was
duly seconded by Alderman , the adoption of the follow!ng
Resolution;
Resolved, that it is the intention of the City of Batesville, Arkansas,
to terminate at the expiration of the current term, towit, on June 13, 1958,
its agreement with the Batesville Water Company, Inc. to accept annual cash
payment of $1272.00 in lieu of all taxes (other than the usual or special
ad valorem) which might be legally imposed by the City, such Agreement
having been entered into under Ordinance No. 587 adopted
on June 13, 1944. To such end., and in coormity thereto, the Mayor,
attested by the City Clerk, is hereby directed to give said Batesville
Water Company, Inc., ninety (90) days written notice of such termination*
Said Resolution was read in full. Thereupon the roll was called
with the following result t FOR, Aldermen , , etc.; AGAINST,
IWAW None. The Mayor declared such Resolution duly adopted and signed same in
approval thereof.
