A RESOLUTION SUBMITTING TO THE VOTERS THE QUESTION
AS TO WHETHER CERTAIN CONTIGUOUS AND ADJOINING
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, Sal
BE ANNEXED THERETO.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That there shall be submitted to the
qualified electors of the City of Batesville, Arkansas, at the
City General Election to be held on November , 1958, the
question as to whether certain contiguous and adjoining territory
shall be annexed to and become a part of said City, said territory
being described as follows:
,,, Commencing on the bank of White River
at a point where the East line of River
Street intersects the same, thence in a
Northerly course along the said East
line of River Street to the South line
of George Street in the Maxfield's
Second Southern Addition to the City of
Batesville, Arkansas; thence East on the
South line of George Street to the West
line of Ramsey Street; thence South 8
degrees West along said West line of
Ramsey Street a distance of 303 feet to
the South line of Southerland Drive;
thence East 50 feet to the East line of
Ramsey Street; thence in a Southerly
direction along said East line to the
line between the property now owned by
A. L. Crouch and Batesville Young Business
Mens Association; thence South on said
line to White River; thence Westerly
along the North bank of White River (1700

Section 2. That the County Board of Election Com-
missioners of Independence County, Arkansas, be and it is hereby
directed to cause to be printed and placed on the official
ballots for use at such election said question of annexation to
the end that said electors may vote thereon.
