RESOLUTION
Whereas, State Highway No. 106 has its beginning at the intersection
of Central Avenue and Baker Street in the City of Batesville, Arkansas,
and runs over and along Baker Street in a Westerly direction to Elsie
Street; and,
Whereas, there are threechurches located at such intersection and
it would be far more practical and would be much less hazardous to re-
designate and re-locate such Highway No. 106 whereby its beginning would
be moved a distance of one block and to the intersection of Central
Avenue and Ross Street in said City and from that point run along doss
Street in such Westerly direction to said Elsie Street; therefore,
Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Batesville,
Arkansas, in regular session assembled on April , 1962, that it
recommend and request the Arkansas Highway Commission to re-designate
and re-locate said Highway No. 106 in accord with the foregoing, and
over and along the herein suggested and reco=i4nded route on Ross
Street; and that a certified copy of this Resolution be duly certified
and transmitted by the City Clerk to the Arkansas Highway Commission.
