OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS
On this the 25th day of September, 1962, is presented to
the Batesville City Council, the petition of John W. Edwards, et
al, being all of the property owners in Block 6 of Ramsey's
Addition to the City of Batesville, Arkansas, and it appearing
that the purpose of said petition is to secure the vacation of an
alley which bisects Block 6 of Ramsey's Addition, under Arkansas
Statutes 19-3824, et seq., and it further appearing that the City
Council has been duly advised as to the purpose of said petition
and the nature of the claims of the petitioners .
Wherefore, it is ordered that the City Clerk of the City
of Batesville, Arkansas, in conformity with Arkansas Statutes 19-
3826 give notice of a meeting to be held at the Batesville City
Hall on October 23, 1962, at 7: 30 P .M. for the purpose of con-
sidering said petition and said notice shall be published once a
week for two consectutive weeks in the Batesville Guard; that said
notice shall state the name of the persons who have signed the
petition, the name of the street or alley or the portion thereof to
be vacated and in general give notice of said hearing. It is the
intent of the City Council to fully comply with Arkansas Statutes
with reference to the vacation of an alley under the above styled
statutes or any other applicable statute.
