WHEREAS, the Administrator of the Fedearl Aviation Agency has allocated
the scan of $39,425.00 from its funds for the fiscal year 1964 to be matched by
the City of Batesville with the total thereof being used for the purpose of
making certain improvements to the Batesville Municipal Airport and;
WIEREAS, such developement is considered deskrable and necessary to
improve the Batesville Municipal Airport so that it becomes a more effective
part of the national system of public airports and;
WHEREAS, it has become necessary for the City of Batesville to take eery
tain preliminary steps and to incur certain preliminary expenses to insure that
its Project Application meet the requirements of the Federal Airport Act and
further insure that the federal matching funds aforesaid remkin availab]sto the
City of Batesville and;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY TIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATES..
VILLE, that the Mayor of said City is hereby authorized to take any and all
steps needed to procure any engineering services required in order to put the
Project Application of the City of Batesville into proper form acceptable to
the above mentioned Federal Aviation Agency with a view toward the City of
Batesville eventually being able to accept all or part of the above mentioned
federal matching funds,
