NOW# B if by the mayor and city council of the city of Batesville, Arkansas# that said offer as I submitted, together with the terns and conditions thereof, is hereby acceoted and a proved; and that of the city of 3a.to.ivilie, �Irksansax, is hereby authorized and directed to sign said Offer and Acceptance and any other necessary documents required to complete the project on behalf of said city. R& IT F'MA'i°ILOR that the city of Batesville, � Arkansas has or will procure a fee simple or such other estate or interest in the site of the project$ including: the necessary easements and rights-of-vayf as to assure undisturbed use and possession for the purpose of rconstruction# operation and maintenance of the works for the estimated life of the Iroject; and that in the event such tit3.e, estate# or interest in such site easements or riphts•of•way may in the future be contestee, the City Of Batesville# Arkansas, will defend and maintain its title in such site and hold the United ;3tates Government blameless in su action; and that before any federal payment is razluested pursuant to said grant, said city will ;provide Certification as to the sufficiency of such estate or interest. Mayor, 44jKty o A1'Y sT ..... ;i ty to rk II , �w R E S O L U T I O N �I Whereas, the passage of time has decreased the need for the City of Batesville to maintain a separate office of "City Treasurez" and; Whereas, the Arkansas General Assembly by Section 4. of Act i 1484 of 1965 has provided that the City Council of First Class Cities may by resolution designate the City Clerk as "Clerk-Trea- surer and thereby eliminate the office of City Treasurer: NOW THEREFORE BP, IT RT?SOLV y D BY THJ CITY COUNCIL OF THE C 1TY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS: The City Clerk of the City of Batesville is henceforth to Ijbe known as the Clerk-Treasurer and the person next elected to fill the office of City Clerk of Batesville at the next General Election after the passage of this resolution, shall assume the duties of both the Clerk and the Treasurer of the City of Bates- i ville, Arkansas.
