RESOLUTION
WHEREAS the City of Batesville, Arkansas desires to estab-
lish a recreation area but does not now have the site therefor
nor the money to purchase the same; and
WHEREAS, in order to obtain the funds necessary to purchas
the site for such a recreation area it is necessary to obtain a
grant from the appropriate agency of the United States Government,
and such applications for grant has been or is being made; and
WHEREAS the site for such proposed recreation area has bee
selected and the price therefore has been established, and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkan-
,%W sas is well aware and apprised of the above-mentioned project, and
that the City of Batesville, Arkansas will provide fifty per cent
(50%) of the acquisition cost, and that said recreation area shall
be dedicated perpetually for an outdoor recreation area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS , that the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer
of said city, or other persons acting by or under their direction,
are hereby authorized to make application for the grant of funds
for the purchase of such site in the maximum amount obtainable
therefore, such application to be submitted to the appropriate
agency of the United States of America.
