Outdoor Recreation in every manner is a much needed
and desired activity for the citizens of any particular
community.
WHEREAS the City of Batesville, Arkansas desires to
establish a recreation area to satisfy a portion of this
need and
WHEREAS there are federal programs available which
will assist in financing such recreation areas and
WHEREAS a logical site for such proposed recreation
area has been selected and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of B atesville,
Arkansas is well aware and apprised of the above mentioned
desires and means to obtain assistance from the Federal
Government for acquisition of such recreation area
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BATESVILLE7 ARKANSAS that the Mayor and City
Treasurer of said city or other persons acting by or under
their direction are hereby authorized to make application for
the grant of said Federal funds for the purpose of such
recreational area in the maximum amount obtainable.
