way between Lots 1, 2, 9 and 10 of Block 14 of School Addition to

the general public for more than 20 years and 1
WHEREAS the City Council has determined that the welfare l

of the City will be enhanced and

or passageway is not needed for highway, alley or passageway
purposes . {

1. That the City of Batesville hereby releases all its
rights and the rights of the public generally in and to the fol-
lowing any passageway, alley or street across the following
describes property:
Lots 1, 2, 9 and. 10 of Block 14 School Addition to
the City oflatesville, Ark-ansas
2 . T.-ie Nlayor and the City Clerk 'be and the same hereby
are empowereu to execute any necessary ,7ritten agreement with the
First Baptist Churcii and the trustees of said. church closing t.L
said alley or passageway. I

BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESV ILLE, ARKANSAS
RESOLUTION
Whereas the City of Batesville, Arkansas, desires to pro-
vide efficient and good taxicab service in the City of Batesville
Arkansas, and
Whereas the City of Batesville, Arkansas, has advertised
for some person to assume an exclusive franchise for service in
the City of Batesville, Arkansas, and
Whereas the City of Batesville, Arkansas, desires to set
out the terms and conditions of the franchise
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,
ARKANSAS, as follows :
1.

2. The rates for transportation for hire shall be those
prescribed by ordinances of the City of Batesville, Arkansas,
now in effect or which may be enacted in the future.

ply with the rules, regulations and ordinances in effect now or
in the future for taxicabs, other vehicles for hire, and transpor-
tation of persons in the City of Batesville, Arkansas.
,%W 4. A violation of the terms of this resolution or of
Ordinance 749 of the City of Batesville, Arkansas, shall be cause
for revocation of this franchise.
