RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION APPROVING COOPERATION AMENDMENT WITH THE HOUSING
AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE , ARKANSAS
BE I`i' RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS,
AS FOLLOWS :
1. The Amendment to the Cooperation Agreement between
the city of Batesville , Arkansas and the Housing
Authority of the City of Batesville, Arkansas , dated
December 10 , 1968 , is hereby approved.
2 . The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute the Cooperation Agreement
Amendment in the name of and behalf of the City of
Batesville.
(W 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately.
4 . The Amendment to the Cooperation Agreement referred
to in Section 1 above is in the following form to
wit:
WHEREAS , on the 20th day of September, 1965 , the City of
Batesville , Arkansas , (Herein called the "Municipality") and the
Housing Authority of the City of Batesville, Arkansas , (herein
called the "Local Authority") entered into a Cooperation Agreement
(Herein called "Agreement") whereby the local Authority agreed to
undertake the development of thirty (30) low-rend housing units
for the elderly and the Municipality agreed to assist and cooperate
with the Local Authority in such development; and
WHEREAS, the Municipality and the Local Authority are
r desirous of increasing the number of dwelling units included in
the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE , for and in consideration of the premises
it is agreed as follows :
SECTION 2 of the Agreement is hereby amended to read:
"2 . The local authority shall endeavor (a) to secure
a contract with the FHA for loans and annual contri-
butions covering one project comprising 60 units of
low-rent housing for the elderly and (b) to develop
and administer such Project which shall be located
within the corporate limits of the Municipality. The
obligations of the parties hereto shall apply to such
Project. "
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the Municipality and the Local Authority
have respectively caused this Amendment to be duly executed as of
the 10th day of December, 1968.
