WHEREAS the increased cost of garbage and trash collection service
have caused a great deficit in the trash and garbage departments
of the city of Batesville, Arkansas and the discretion and latitud
to make such adjustments in the rates is vested in the City
Council by Ordinance NO. 614 ; and
WHEREAS the City Council of Batesville , Arkansas has determined
that the city can no longer provide adequate garbage and trash
collection at the present rates and maintain healthful conditions
necessary.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS AS FOLLOWS :
1. That the following tax be put into effect with the current
January, 1969 billing, further that a specific named business
rate shall control over a general classification named rate in
in the event of overlapping of rates herein listed.
1. Appliance Store $3. 00 to $6 . 00 per month
2 . Auto Dealers $5. 00 to $15. 00 per month
3. Auto Supply (retail) $5. 00 to $7. 50 per month
4. Auto Supply (wholesale) $3. 00 to $6 . 00 per month
5 . Service Stations $5. 00 per month
6 . Garage and Service Stations $5. 00 to $10. 00 per month
7. Bakeries $4. 00 to $6. 00 per month
8. Banks $2 .00 to $5.00 per month
9. Beauty Shop $1.00 to $2 . 00 per month
10. Barber Shop $1. 00 to $2 . 00 per month
11. Business & Professional Offices $1. 00 to $2. 00 per month
12. Bottling Plants $5. 00 to $1040 per month
13. Car Washes $1. 00 to $2 .00 per month
14. Clothing Stores $4. 00 to $5. 00 per month
15. Country Clubs $6. 00 to $10 . 00 per month
16. Cleaning & Pressing Shops $2 . 00 per month

of trash and garbage picked up.
2. Variations in the rates is due to the varying number of pickups
per month required by businesses in the same category.
