RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville is in need of short mange
improvements to increase traffic flow and safety on its major
street system; and
WHEREAS, numerous planning studies , including the 1965 Batesville
Highway Traffic S-Ludiv, have been conducted for the City, which will
provide support information for a Traffic Operations Program to
Increase Capacity and Safety; and
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville wishes to express its desire
and interest to be selected for a TOPICS study;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CODICIL OF THE CITY
OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City of Batesville , through its City Council ,
hereby authorizes the Mayor to enter into an Agreement with the
Arkansas Highway Department pertaining to the conduct of a TOPICS study
for Batesville.
Section 2. That the City of Batesville pledges its full support
and cooperation to the Arkansas Highway Department and to all other
agencies involved in the pi�,oject.
Section 3. That the City of Batesville will participate in
accordance with its designated responsibility in the implementation of
the recommendations provided in the approved report.
