BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS
RESOLUTION NO. -Z G ,
A RESOLUTION NAMING THE NEW BAYOU BRIDGE AND OVERPASS THE
GOLDEN OVERPASS
Whereas the City Council finers that Mayor Peyton
Golden was instrumental in securing a Bayou Overpass and
Whereas Mayor Golden has expended much time and
effort to secure this overpass
Now therefore, Be it Resolved by the City Council
of Batesville, Arkansas, as follows :
1. That in recognition of the services of Mayor
Golden in securing the Bayou Bridge Overpass from Broad Street
(W
to Bayou Street, said overpass shall be officially known in
the City of Batesville and designated the Golden Overpass.
2 . The City Clerk and Treasurer is hereby authorized
to expend such necessary funds as may be necessary to secure an
appropriate bronze or granite marker to be affixed and placed on
said overpass in a permanent fashion. Said marker shall among
other things have the name of the Overpass and such other suitable
remarks as the Council may direct be placed on it at an appropriate
time. ►�
