A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION TO CERTIFY
ELIGIBffi APPLICANTS FOR POSITION OF POLICE CHIEF TO MAYOR AND
OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILIE, ARKANSAS,
AS FOLLOFS:
1. That a new Police Chief for the City of Batesville is to
be chosen, and that such choice will have great impact upon the

future of Batesville, and
2. That so important a decision should have the deep concern
of all who will be directly and personally associated with the new
Chief in the carrying out of his duties.
NOW THEREFORE be it further resolved that the Civil Service
Casmdasion is hereby directed to certify to the Mayor the three (3)
standing highest on the eligibility list for appointment to the
position of Police Chief, and that the Mayor select one of the three
certified to him for the appointment and notify the Caaamission thereof
