WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Council
of the City of Batesville, Arkansas , a petition by WESLEY J .
KETZ, JR. , Trustee, by H. David Blair, his attorney, to vacate
and abandon certain unopened streets within the City of Batesville ,
Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, the provisions of Act No . 17 of the Arkansas
Acts of 1945 direct that the City, by resolution, fix a day for
the hearing of such petition and direct the City Clerk to give
notice thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF BATESVILL ,
ARKANSAS, that :
1 . The petition of WESLEY J . KETZ, JR. , Trustee,
to abandon and vacate certain streets , viz, portions of West
Rand Road, East Rand Road, Peters Street and Blake Street as are
contiguous to Blocks 9 , 10 and 11 of Riverview Addition to the
City of Batesville, ARkansas , be and hereby is set for hearing
before the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas on
the day of 1975 at o ' clock P .M.
2 . That the City Clerk be and hereby is directed to
give notice of such meeting by publication once per week for
two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in and having
a general circulation within the City of Batesville, Arkansas,
such notice to state the name of the person signing the petition,
the names of the streets and portions thereof to be vacated and
abandoned, and to advise all persons that upon the date set forth
herein the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas
will hear and determine whether such streets shall be vacated.
