THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATES'VILLE, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, a petition to vacate unused streets has been
filed by Independence County, Arkansas , by Jess Carpenter, County
Judge , and the City of Batesville, ,Arkansas , by Peyton Golden,
Mayor; AND,
WHEREAS, said petition requests that the City Council
of the City of Batesville , Arkansas , set a date certain for the
hearing of the petition to vacate the unused streets described
in said petition.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the City Council for the
City of Batesville , Arkansas , will hear the petition for the
vacating of unused streets on the 27th of July, 1976 , at 7 :00
P.M. , at the City Hall for the City of Batesville , Arkansas, and
be it further resolved that the City Clerk is authorized and
directed to give notice of such hearing by publication once a
week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in
the county and having a general circulation in the City of
Batesville, Arkansas , said notice to state all of the information
required by Act 17 of 1947 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Arkansas .
PASSED and APPROVED this 22nd day of June , 1976 .
