RESOLUTION OF BATESVILLE CITY COUNCIL DECLARING ITS
INTENTION TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
PROPOSED VACATION OF A BATESVILLE CITY STREET
The Batesville City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas,
does resolve as follows:
(1) General Investment Company and Eli J. and Dora Taylor
have filed a petition with the City Council of the City of Bates-
ville, Arkansas, to vacate a city street in the City of Batesville
Arkansas, described as all that part of 22nd Street in the City ofl
Batesville, Arkansas, being 50 feet wide, which lies between the
South right-of-way line of Harrison Street and the North right-of-
way line of Fitzhugh Street in the City of Bateuville, Arkansas,
�W being approximately 300 feet long.
(2) Tuesday, /!' "
1977, at Z* , C._, o'clock P.M.
1 in the City Council Chambers, located at the City Hall, Batesville ,
Arkansas, is set as the time and place of hearing when and where
any person having an interest in such proceeding may appear and be
heard either for or against such vacation.
(3) All proceedings for the vacation of such street shall be
conducted pursuant to Arkansas Statutes Annotated Sections 19-3825
et seq.
(4) The City Clerk is directed to publish a copy of this
Resolution in a newspaper of general circulation within this
county once each week for two weeks prior to the date of hearing,
at the expense of the petitioners.

Re: Application for Closing of Street and
Change in Zoning Classification
Dear Madams and Sirs:
Enclosed is the application of General Investment Company
and Eli J. and Dora Taylor for closing of a portion of 22nd
Street in Batesville and the application of General Investment
Company for a change in the zoning classification of certain
lands on Harrison Street. I would appreciate it if you would
place this matter on the Council' s agenda for Tuesday, April
12, 1977 at which time we will request that the City Council
adopt a resolution setting this matter for public hearing at
(W the next City Council meeting.
By copy of this letter, I am forwarding a copy of this
application to Mayor Peyton Golden and Mr. Roy Thomas, the
City Attorney.
