BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS WHEREAS, on the 14th day of March, 1977, the Honorable Fred Livingston, sitting as Special County Judge for Independent County, Arkansas , having been appointed by the Honorable David Pryor, Governor of the State of Arkansas, did hear the petition of Jess B. Carpenter and Lula Carpenter, his wife, for the annexation to the City of Batesville, Arkanau, the land here- after described, and on said date entered an order annexing said (W land subject to confirmation by the County Court and the City Council for the City of Batesville, Arkansas; and, WHEREAS, Petitioners had published notice of said hearing in accordance with the laws of the State of Arkansas and had caused to be filed a plat of said lands; and, WHEREAS, on the 26th day of April, 1977 , the Honorable Fred Livingston, Special County Judge, did enter his order confirming the annexation in all respects; and, WHEREAS, all legal formalities have been met, and the matter is ready for action by the City Council for the City of Batesville, Arkansas . BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the following described property, to-wit: ,,, Part of the Northwest Qaarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 6 West, described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast Corner of said Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter and running thence West 732. 5 feet to a point; thence North for 1016 feet to the point of beginning of this tract; _ thence North 65 feet to a point; thence East 200 feet to a point; thence South 65 feet t-o a point; thence West 200 feet to the point of beginning, should be annexed to the City of Batesville, Arkansas, and the City Council forthe City of Batesville, Arkansas does hereby (W accept said land into the City of Batesville, Arkansas , and (W from and after this date the residents thereof should have and enjoy all of the rights and privileges of the inhabitants of the City of Batesville, Arkansas . 3s� PASSED and APPROVED on this Z day of $0W , 1977 . (3) The lots owned by Jewell Beal and Jesse Woods are separated by Center Street between St. Louis Street and Firs Street, as designated on said plat. Said street has been dedicat d to the public.
