A RESOLUTION ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, CERTAIN LANDS LYING IN THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTH- WEST QUARTER AND THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 22, TOWNSHIP 13 NORTH, RANGE 6 WEST, KNOWN AS EASTWOOD ESTATES ADDITION TO INDEPENDENCE COUNTY, ARKANSAS . WHEREAS on the 23rd day of May, 1977, the County Court of Independence County, Arkansas, entered its order annexing to the City of Batesville, Arkansas, the following described lands: Beginning at the Northwest Corner of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NEr. NWk) of Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 6 West and run thence South 1020. .feet to the 15" sewer line; thence uphill along the sewer line South 87 degrees East 20.6 feet; thence North 70 degrees East 252 feet; thence North 46 degrees East 351 feet; thence North 66 degrees East 237 feet; thence North 67 degrees East 300 feet; thence North 63 degrees East 206. feet; thence North 3 degrees West 451 feet; thence West 1409 feet to the point of beginning, containing 24 . 3 acres , more or less, in Independence County, Arkansas . Also, begin at the Northeast Corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NWS NWS) of Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 6 West and run thence South 86 Degrees West 200 feet; thence North 4 degrees West 40 feet; thence North 78 degrees West 350 feet to the branch; thane along branch South 19 degrees West 300 feet; thence South 15 degrees West 200 feet; thence North 86 degrees East 680 feet; thence North 4 degrees West 364 feet to point of b finning, containing 5 .90 acres, more or less . 0 . 64 acre in the Southwest Quarter of Southwest Quarter (SWk SWC) of Section 15, and 5 . 26 acres in the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NWk NW's) of Section 22, Independence County, Arkansas; and WHEREAS that prior to the entry of the Order of Annexation by the County Court of Independence County, Arkansas, the notice of the Petition for Annexation having been filed ep published in accordance with the laws. of the State. of Arkansas; and WHEREAS there having been no objection to the annexation of said lands either prior to or within thirty ( 30) days after the entry of the Order of Annexation; and WHEREAS, on the 25th day of July, 1977, the County Court of Independence County entered its order of confirmation of the ! f annexation; and, W WHEREAS, the above-described property has been surveyed and platted and layed out in residential lots; and WHEREAS, it is now proper and desirable that said lands be annexed to the City of Batesville, Arkansas, therefore, be it hereby resolved that the above-described land should be, and they are hereby annexed to the City of Batesville, Arkansas, and from and after this date all of the inhabitants thereof shall have and enjoy all of the rights and privileges of citizens of the City of Bate.sville, Arkansas .
