A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS
OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE TO MATCH FEDE-
RAL AID AND URBAN SYSTEM MONEY FOR THE
VINE, OAK, BATES , BROAD AND LAWRENCE
STREET INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS .
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville understands additional
Federal Aid and Urban System funds are available for im-
provements to City Streets; and,
WHEREAS , the City has determined that the top priority
projects are: Vine Street, Oak Street, Bates Street, Broad
Street and Lawrence Street intersections; and,
WHEREAS, the City understands that their matching port-
ion of this project will be thirty percent (30%) of the
total cost;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Batesville, Arkansas that:
Section I - The City of Batesville will participate in
accordance with it ' s designated responsibility in this
project;
Section II - The Mayor is hereby authorized and- directed
to execute all appropriate Agreements and Contracts neces-
sary to expedite the construction of improvements on City
Streets;
Section III - The City of Batesville pledges it ' s full
support and help, and, authorizes the Arkansas State High-
way and Transportation Department to initiate action to
construct this project.
