Be it resolved by the City Council of Batesville, State of Arkansas a resolution entitled:
Upgrade to Cardiac Patient Monitors at White River Medical Center's Emergency
Department.
A Resolution authorizing the Mayor of Batesville to apply for a grant on behalf of White
River Health System's White River Medical Center Emergency Department.
Whereas, the Batesville City Council has determined that the White River Medical
Center meets eligibility requirements necessary to apply for a grant under the GIF
Funded Community Enhancement Grant; and
Whereas, the White River Health System has presented plans to (description of
project) upgrade existing cardiac patient monitoring equipment within WRHS's
White River Medical Center Emergency Department slated for renovation in 2016;
and
Whereas, the City Council of Batesville recognizes the need for the project, concurs its
importance, and supports the White River Medical Center with its efforts to proceed
with the same; and
opk Therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor of Batesville is hereby authorized to submit an
application of formal request to the Arkansas Rural Development Commission for
purposes of securing state grant funds in the amount of $ 85,000 to aid and assist
White River Medical Center in executing the proposed project described herein and
that the Mayor of Batesville is further authorized to administer the grant funds for the
same project.
