CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS
RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12th 2015 AS
UAMS NORTH CENTRAL APPRECIATION DAY
WHEREAS,UAMS North Central was established by the Arkansas Legislature in
cooperation with UAMS in 2007;
WHEREAS, UAMS North Central works in partnership with the University of Arkansas
Community College at Batesville which houses several UAMS degree programs;
WHEREAS, UAMS North Central works closely with White River Medical Center in
Batesville;
WHEREAS, UAMS North Central is an outreach for the University of Arkansas for
Medical Sciences whose mission is to enhance healthcare access and health status
through recruitment and retention of healthcare professionals, professional education, and
public health education;
WHEREAS, UAMS North Central plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of
healthcare, and therefore the corresponding quality of life in our community;
WHEREFORE UAMS North Central is a valued and honored member of our
community whose presence is a vital part of our community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR
THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,ARKANSAS, THAT:
The City of Batesville, the Batesville City Council, and the Mayor of the City of
Batesville wish express their unequivocal support for, and appreciation of, UAMS North
Central, and hereby proclaim Thursday, November 12th, 2015 as UAMS North Central
Appreciation Day.
