A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF
THE CITY OF BATESVILLE
TO UTILIZE ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND TOURISM FESTIVAL ADVERTISING FUNDS
WHEREAS City of Batesville understands Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism Funds are
available at 2/3 cash match and will be awarded in increments of$50 with a minimum of$500
and a maximum of$2,000
WHEREAS City of Batesville understands that Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism
Festival Advertising funds are available for this project (White River Water Carnival advertising)
on a reimbursable basis, requiring work to be accomplished and proof of payment prior to
actual monetary reimbursement, and
WHEREAS the advertised festival must be a recurring event in existence for at least one year
prior to applying for the grant and will be open and available for use by and free of charge to
the general public, and
WHEREAS all advertising identified by the project proposal will be purchased between July 1,
2016 and June 30, 2017.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY CITY OF BATESVILLE THAT:
SECTION I: City of Batesville will participate in accordance with its designated responsibility,
including maintenance of this project for the White River Water Carnival.
SECTION II: The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce is hereby authorized and directed to
execute all appropriate agreement and contracts necessary to expedite the above stated
project.
SECTION III: City of Batesville pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas
Department of Parks and Tourism to initiate action to implement this project.
THIS RESOLUTION adopted this day of 2016.
