DISCUSS REPLACING GREENS AT GOLF COURSE

they uncovered the greens they discovered that the greens were dead. After consulting with
specialist he said there were several factors that killed the greens. Mr. Palmer said that after
much thought they decided to till up the greens and put new sod on the greens. If they had used
sprigs it would take about 12 weeks to bring back the greens compared to 4 weeks with laying
the sod. Palmer said the City has not lost any greens in the past 27 years. The cost to lay the sod
