HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016-10-01 ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE BATESVILLE ZONING DISTRICTS MAP; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS,the Batesville Planning Commission, after conducting a public hearing on September 27,2016, has voted to recommend that certain property be rezoned from Single Family Residential [R-1] to General Family Residential [R-2]; and, WHEREAS,the Batesville Planning Commission has evaluated said proposed amendment to the zoning districts map and determined that it is in harmony with the Comprehensive Plan. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,ARKANSAS THAT THE BATESVILLE ZONING DISTRICTS MAP IS HEREBY AMENDED TO DESIGNATE THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY AS GENERAL FAMILY RESIDENTIAL [R-2]: A tract of land being a part of the SE '/4, NE '/4 of Section 14, TON, R6W, in the City of Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point being 498.5 feet South and 569.94 feet West of the northwest corner of said SE '/4, NE '/4 of said Section 13; thence N 69°52'27" E a distance of 300.67 feet; thence S 60°44'44" E a distance of 249.09 feet; thence S 62009'59" E a distance of 388.30 feet; thence S 71025'40" E a distance of 159.94 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 47, Big Pine Addition; thence S 18°34'20" W a distance of 50.00 feet to the north line of Lot 3 of said Big Pine Addition; thence N 71125'40" W along said north line and the extension thereof a distance of 250.95 feet; thence S 18°34'20" W a distance of 137.12 feet; thence S 18°34'20" W a distance of 137.12 feet; thence N 63'23'15" W a distance of 786.42 feet to the east line of the Bill Davis tract; thence N 01041'08" E along said east line a distance of 202.68 feet to the point of beginning. IF ANY PORTION OR PORTIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE ARE DEEMED OR HELD TO BE INVALID,SUCH INVALIDITY SHALL NOT EFFECT THE REMAINING PORTION OR PORTIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE.
