MAYOR COMMENTS
City Engineer Damon Johnson addressed the council regarding a flatbed dump
truck for the Street Department. The department is currently using a 1970-ish truck and
has money in their budget for a new truck. Mr. Johnson said he found a 2005 Peterbuilt
Diesel truck with approximately 175,000 miles for under $40,000.00. He said he
thought it would be a great truck for the department and would serve them for many
years. Councilmember Beller moved for Mr. Johnson to pursue the purchase of the
used truck. Councilmember Shetron seconded and all voted for.
The Mayor reminded everyone of the International Performers who will be
preforming on Monday night at Brown's Chapel at Lyon College. He also invited the
council to Josie's Sunday night for a meet and greet and meal for the group.
