AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 756 AND ARTICLE 6, SECTION 9, A
OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE ZONING REGULATIONS, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Be it hereby ordained and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Batesville, Arkansas:
1. Ordinance No. 756 and Article 6, Section 9, A of the City of
Batesville Zoning Regulations are hereby amended by adding the follow-
ing subsection thereto:
"3. A mobile home may be parked on the grounds or
property of any publicly owned school for the
purpose of housing a security officer or watch-
man and his family provided that the Planning
Commission may impose conditions under which
such a use may be permitted in order to insure
the most compatibility."
2. Whereas the public schools in Batesville have been a target of
much vandalism and such vandalism costs the taxpayer, and whereas this
ordinance is designed to help curtail that vandalism, this ordinance is
deemed necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
welfare and safety and an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
