AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING 15TH STREET
BETWEEN NORMA STREET AND CHANEY DRIVE.
VvHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City
Council for Batesville, Independence County,Arkansas,
on November 13, 1979, asking the City Council to vacate
and abandon 15th Street between Norma Street and Chaney
Drive in the City of Batesville, Independence County,
Arkansas; and,
�jHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the
City Council has, at the time and place memtioned in the
notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the
question and as ascertained:
1. That 15th Street between Norma Street and Chaney
Drive in Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas,has
heretofore been deciated to the public use as a street
herein described.
2. That all of the owners of the property abutting
upon 15th Street between Norma Street and Chaney Drive
in Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas, has co-
sented to such vacation and abandonment.
3. That the public intetest and welfare will not
be adversely affected by the vacation and abandonment
of the street; that 15th Street between Norma Street and
Chaney Drive in Batesville, Independence County,Arkansas,
is not required for any corporate purpose; and,
4. That 15th Street between Norma Street and Chaney
Drive in Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas, has
never been opened as a right-of-way to the public and
has not been used by or for the public as a street or
alley for a period of more than five years last past; and,
5. That no public inconvenience will result from the
closing.

NOVA THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Batesville, Arkansas, here-
by releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, to-
gether with the rights of the public genererally, in
and to 15th Street between Norma Street and Chaney
Lrive in Batesville, Independence County,Arkansas,
and absolute ownership of 15th Street between Norma
Street and Chaney Lrive in atesville, Independence
County, Arkansas, shall vest in Troy Gray, the owner
of property abutting 15th Street between Norma Street
and Chancey Drive in Batesville, Arkansas.
Section 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certi-
fied by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office
of the Recorder of Batesville, Independence County,
Arkansas, in the Deed Records of Independence,
County, Arkansas.
