AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE DRIVING OF ANY VEHICLE IN A CARELESS MANNER;
PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES:
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas as
follows:
1. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive any vehicle within
the city limits of the City of Batesville, Arkansas in a careless, negli-
gent or hazardous manner.
2. Any person violating Section 1 of this Ordinance shall be guilty
of a violation and shall be fined in an amount not to exceed $100.00.
3. That vehicles driven in a careless, negligent or hazardous manner
present a danger to the well-being, safety and health of persons within
,"-" the City of Batesville and this Ordinance being necessary to protect the
health, welfare and safety of the citizens of Batesville; an emeraency is
hereby declared and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after this date.
