AN ORDINANCE REZONING THE EAST HALF OF LOT 4,
AND ALL OF LOT 5, BLOCK 3, MAXFIELD'S EASTERN
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS,
FROM R-2 RESIDENTIAL TO C-3 COMMERCIAL.
WHEREAS, the owners of the East Half of Lot 4, and all of
Lot 5, Block 8, Maxfield's Eastern Addition.to the City of
Batesville, Arkansas, have requested the rezoning of said lots
from R-2 Residential to C-3 Commercial and have made application
for said rezoning in the proper manner; and
WHEREAS, public hearings have been held by the Planning
Commission for the City of Batesville after proper notice hav-
ing been published for the time and in the manner required by
law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Batesville has
received reports and recommendations from the Planning Commission
as required by law and that property should be rezoned from
R-2 Residential to C-3 Commercial; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary in order to carry out the vote
of the City Council in rezoning the property that an ordinance
be passed and approved by the City Council for the City of
Batesville, Arkansas and published as required by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the East Half of Lot 4, and all
of Lot 5, Block 8, Maxfield's Eastern Addition should
be, and they hereby are, rezoned to the classification
of C-3 Commercial;
Section 2. That this ordinance should be pub-
lished in a newspaper having a general circulation
in Independence County, Arkansas.
