ORDINANCE NO. -/43
AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
CITY OF BATESVILLE LYING IN SECTION 15, TOWN-
SHIP 13 NORTH, RANGE 6 WEST IN INDEPENDENCE
COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the following described lands are located in
the City of Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas, to -wit:
A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section
15, Township 13 North, Range 6 West, described
thus: Commencing at the quarter section corner
between Sections 15 and 16 on the south line
of Highway No. 69 (formerly Highway No. 14);
thence East 1,650 feet to the point of beginning;
thence south 210 feet; thence east 120 feet;
thence north 210 feet to the south line of
said highway; thence west along said south
line of said highway 120 feet to the point of
beginning.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Batesville, Arkansas, has recommended to the Batesville City
Council that said lands as described above be zoned C-2;
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the property's
best use is commercial and that the property should be zoned
under the classification C-2; and that the general public interest.
and welfare will not be adversely affected by said rezoning.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKA14SAS:
Section 1. That the lands described herein shall be
zoned C-2.
Section 2. A copy of the ordinance duly filed by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder
of the County and recorded in the deed records of
the county.
Section 3. It is further declared that an emergency
existsand that this ordinance shall be effective from
and after its passage.
