ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE RE -ZONING OF PROPERTY
OWNED BY DON REEVES AND ABBIE REEVES
WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission of the City of Batesville,
Arkansas, pursuant to law has filed its recommendations with the Batesville City
s
Council recommending that the following described property be re-classified and
that said proposed change would be to the best interest of the City of Batesville,
to -wit:
A part of the SWI of Section 15, Township 13 North, Range 6
West, described thus: Commence at the Quarter Section corner
between Sections 15 and 16, Township 13 North, Range 6 West
and run thence East with South line of Harrison Street for 1770
feet to the Point of Beginning; thence South for 300 feet to a
point; thence East for 20 feet to a point; thence South for 35
feet to a point; thence East for 120 feet to a point; thence
North for 335 feet to the South line of Harrison Street; thence
West with South line of Harrison Street for 140 feet to the
Point of Beginning.
That said property is owned by Don Reeves and Abbie Peeves, his wife, and
should be re-classified ds C-2 and that said proposed chance would be to the best
interest of the City of Batesville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1.
The Batesville City Council adopts the report and recommendation of the
Batesville Planning Commission as set forth and that the above described property
located in the City of Batesville, Arkansas, be and the same hereby is re-classified
under the applicable zoning law and regulations to the classification of commercial
C-2 property.
Section 2.
The City Clerk shall cause the City Zoning Map to note the change as
labove set forth.
Section 3.
There is hereby found and declared to be an immediate need for the re-
classification above set forth for the benefit of the public health, safety and
welfare of the City of Batesville, Arkansas, and particularly the arm affected hereby.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is declared an emergency exists and that this ordin-
ance is necessary for the immediate preservation of public health, safety and
welfare, and shall be in full force and. effect im�nediatelyPon its passage.
