AN ORDINANCE REZONING THE WEST
ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE (125) FEET OF LOTS
ONE (1) , TWO ( 2 ) AND TFREE ( 3) , I int BLOCK
SEVENTY (70) OPI MAXFIELD'S THIRD EASTERN
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BATESVILLE. ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission for the City of
Batesville, Arkansas, held a public hearing on June 1, 1982, upon
the application of Jerry W. Hayes, for the zoning of the following
.described property:
The West One Hundred Twenty-five (125) feet
of Lots One (1), Two (2) and Three (3), in
Block Seventy (70) of Maxfield's Third Eastern
Addition to the City of Batesville, Arkansas,
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast Corner of said
Block 70 at the intersection of Harrison and
Sidney Streets, as a starting point; thence
run South along the East side of Sidney Street
150 feet to the line between Lots 3 and 4;
thence run East along the line between Lots 3
and 4, a distance of 125 feet to a point;
thence run North at right angles to Harrison
Street and parallel with Sidney Street 150
feet to the South line of Harrison Street;
thence run West along the South line of
Harrison Street 125 feet to the starting point;
this tract being a tract 125 feet by 150 feet,
and being a part of the Northwest Quarter of
the Southeast Quarter of Section 16, Township
13 North, Range 6 West, in Batesville, Arkansas.

WHEREAS, at said public hearing held after proper
;'publication of notice the Planning Commission found that the
,..application was proper in all respects and determined that the
!'said property should be zoned C-2 commercial; and
WHEREAS, the said property was previously zoned R-2
i
;;residential;

IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED that said property should be
rezoned C-2 commercial as that term is presently defined in the
:'zoning laws of the City of Batesville.
