HomeMy WebLinkAbout988EM i BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS NO. 9 y AN ORDINANCE ZONING PART OF THE SWI-, SEI-,, §16 and PART OF THE NW-, NE-,, §21, T13N, R6W WHEREAS, The Planning Commission for the City of Batesville, Arkansas, held a public hearing on June 1, 1982, upon the application of Dorothy Dowzer, Marjorie Dowzer and Robert S. Stroud for the zoning of the following described property: A part of the SW, of SE14 of Section 16, Township 13 North, Range 6 West, described thus: Commencing at the Quarter Section corner between Sections 16 and 21 of said township and range; thence East a distance of 118 feet, more or less, to the East R/W line of Hwy #167, as presently located; thence along said East R/W line North 1 degree East for 86.7 feet to Point of Beginning; thence continue along said East R/W line North 1 degree East a distance of 563.3 feet to the South R/W line of Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence following said R/W South 51 degrees 30 minutes East for 400 feet; thence South 36 degrees 20 minutes East 207 feet to a point; thence South 52 degrees 15 Minutes West for 224.5 feet to a point; thence South 89 degrees West for 274.2 feet to the Point of Beginning. ALSO, a part of the SW' of SE of Section 16 and a part of the NW, of NE, of Section 21, all in Township 13 North, Range 6 West, described thus: Commencing at the Quarter Section corner between Sections lo' and 2.1 of said township and range; thence East a distance of 118 feet, more or less, to the East R/W line of Hwy #167, as presently located, and the Point of Beginning; thence along said East R/W line North 1 degree East for 86.7 feet to a point; thence North 89 degrees East for 274.2 feet to a point; thence North 52 degrees 15 minutes East for 224.5 feet to a point on the South R/W line of Lock and Dam No. 1 Road; thence South36 degrees 20 minutes East along said R/W line for 226 feet; thence South 47 degrees 10 Minutes West for 5772 feet; then South 2 degrees West 512 feet, more or less, to the North bank of White River; thence upstream along meanderings of said river 184 feet, more or less, to the East R/W line of H'vy #167 as presently located; thence North and with said East R/W line for 815 feet, more or less, to the Place of Beginning; and '' WHEREAS, at said public hearing held after proper publication of notice the Planning Commission found that the application was proper in all respects and determined that the j said property should be zoned C-2 commercial; and WHEREAS, the said property was previously unzoned; IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED that said property should be zoned C-2 commercial as that term is presently defined in the zoning laws of the City of Batesville.
