AN ORDINANCE RE -ZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY OF BILLY C. EDWARDS
FROM (R-3) RESIDENTIAL TO (C-2) COMMERCIAL; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
AND OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,
ARKANSAS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The following property be and the same hereby is re -zoned from R-3
residential to Commercial C-2;
A part of Lot 8, Block 7 of Charleston Addition to the City of
Batesville, Arkansas, described thus: Beginning at the Southeast
Corner of said Block 7 at the intersection of Bayou and Charles
Streets, and run along the line of Bayou Street a distance of 75
feet to the line between Lots 8 and 7 of said Block7; thence run
in a Southwesterly direction and parallel with Charles Street,
along said line a distance of 95 feet; thence run in a Southeasterly
direction and parallel to Bayou Street a distance of 75 feet to the line
of Charles Street; thence run Northeasterly along the line of Charles
Street a distance of 95 feet to the Place of Beginning. This tract
being a parallelogram fronting 75 feet on Bayou Street, and extending
95 feet along Charles Street.
2. It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that
this ordinance being necessary for the public welfare, it shall be in full force
and effect from the date of its passage.
Passed and Approved this ZZE day of 1977.
